Socially Neglected, Little Ones
There are a set of people I'm truly concerned for, at this moment. I started taking a serious inventory of how I once felt; that memory was of a time where I truly felt unwanted. I remember being very young, not really popular in class, and sitting in seats where no one was interested in looking my way. School friends...what're those?
Elementary school was a ride to say the least, but though its ups and downs were frequent, it compels me to think on the little children of today. Tiny little hearts who want freedom, fun with their peers, and to just..be outside, are faced with a problem. Some people think that the children aren't affected by COVID, but I beg to differ! This issue has castrated their ability to socialize with other children, and even though we want our offspring to be well protected, we're doing a disservice to them simultaneously.

Adults and children have very different perspectives, when we ponder on how we interact with one another. Countless photos of interracial friendships between children, exist all over the internet in this age. That is no secret, and it's still unfortunate that adults have a need to follow a child's example. The racial catastrophes, which have been more media frequent within recent months, are pure examples of how much children many times, prove wiser (and mire mature) than adults. Yet, I digress...back to the main point. The kids miss each other, and need the playdates, the recess times, the breaks, and after lunch games they once couldn't wait to jump into. That said, do you know a child who either only had 1 friend, or had an imaginary friend, or is/was always sad, because they had no friends? Is it possible that they were beginning to make a friend, and the pandemic ruined that?
We must check up on the emotional wellbeing of our youth!
This time that we're in is tough to face alone, and several (if not many) of our children aren't taking this home-all-day, at times torturous period too well. PLEASE, be attentive to the youth! They need us more than most people think.
