Could Psychological Distancing Be A Thing?

Imagine...we already have too many people to number who are naturally isolating, antisocial, and introverts without question. There are people who simply would rather be alone, than bottled up with a gathering above 5 people (and even that number is too high, for some).
Social distancing has done more than just protect people, from the pandemic's raid on planet Earth. What it has also done, was normalize the idea of staying away from the thought of human contact. You think your friend, the one who never comes out with your group is a loner now? You may as well pretend that they've found a suitable habitat for humanity...on Saturn! The purpose and necessity of human touch has globally been shut down, and people literally speed away from others, when they cross six feet in distance. The fear which has been etched in the common, human brain of today, has become a paralyzing, psychological weapon against greetings involving human touch. Those feel good high fives, tight, warm, and healing hugs, and gentle kisses by specific loved ones, are threatening to seem a thing that is heading for the history books.
People have looked in my direction, and walked the other way. Folk have eased away from me as if I was a purse thief, and that was before COVID 19! I cannot begin to tell you of the "fun" I've had, watching people nearly trip, as they speed walk away from me. I'm sure this pandemic has an assistant, which is certainly relevant to the country's sickening, racial climate.
I have an idea...we should definitely calm down!
Distance has been said to make the heart grow fonder, but it's obvious that romantic proverbs and gems do not compare to a pandemic of such magnitude.
No matter what you do, or how much you like to isolate yourself, don't let the fear wrap you up in your own mind!
